The main objective of the congress is to share projects, initiatives and research that, nationally and internationally, are dealing with the problem of the conservation of the lesser kestrel (Falco naumanni) throughout its area of distribution.

For this reason, among others, the experiences of different LIFE projects (Environment and Climate Action Programme of the European Union) related to the species, which have been developed or are being developed at the moment, will be shared.

Finally, the congress will serve to present the preliminary results of the LIFE-ZEPAURBAN project that has been carried out since 2016, coordinated by the Regional Ministry of Ecological Transition and Sustainability of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
